New Button To Allow Facebook Users To Ask Why Their Friends Are Single

This could be interesting...

If you’re of the opinion that Facebook is a tad intrusive, you may not approve of the latest development.

Facebook has introduced a new feature that allows users of the social media network to ask friends if they’re single or in a relationship.

The ask button appears on the profiles of Facebook users who have left their relationship status blank and there is an option to include a note to explain why you’re asking about their love lives.

Once you send your “ask” request, the friend receives a notification that says: “Hello! I am wondering about your relationship!”

They can either ignore it or respond with an answer, and they have the option to write directly back to you or to share it with other Facebook users.

Some have described the new addition as “invasive” and “naggy” while others have said that it is a low-key and an easy way of fellow singletons expressing an interest in each other.

Will you be making use of the new “ask” button or this is a step too far?!
