This will warm your little heart...

It’s time to lay our cards out on the table. We’re a little bit obsessed with onscreen romances. There, we’ve said it now. And we’re not even sorry.

Whether we’re watching Chuck and Blair plotting in the Big Apple, or Josh and Donna exchanging insults in The West Wing, there’s something so captivating about seeing a couple meet, fall in love and go through all the highs and lows of a relationship on screen.

Here are seven of our favourite onscreen couples. Make sure to let us know your favourites in the comments!

1. Carrie and Mr. Big, Sex And The City

Forget Aidan. Forget Burger. Forget the Russian. We always knew Mr. Big was the only one for Carrie.

2. Sheldon and Amy, The Big Bang Theory

"The Raiders Minimization" -- Sheldon (Jim Parsons, right) seeks revenge after Amy (Mayim Bialik, left) ruins one of his favorite movies, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Oct. 10 (8:00 – 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. It doesn’t matter whether they’re having fun with flags, or bickering about the merits of neurobiology, we can’t enough of these two unlikely love-birds. They need to get married and have babies. Immediately.

3. Summer and Seth, The O.C.

Ryan and Marissa were supposed to be the couple we all rooted for, but let’s be real, The O.C. was all about Summer and Seth.

4. Chuck and Blair, Gossip Girl

He went to Paris to get her favourite macaroons from Pierre Hermé, Germany to pick up her favourite Faulke stockings, and finally home to New York to say those four magical little words, ‘I love you too.’ Relive the oh-so-sweet moment below.

5. Pacey and Joey, Dawson’s Creek

Star-crossed lovers from across the Creek. We all know their union broke Dawson’s heart (see below), but did anyone really care? No, they didn’t. Pacey and Joey 4eva.

6. Ross and Rachel, Friends

The ultimate feel-good TV couple. After ten long years of break ups, make ups, breaks, a wedding and a baby, these two finally walked off into the sunset together. Come on, he’s her lobster.

7. Josh and Donna, The West Wing

Very few duos had as much on-screen chemistry as our favourite couple from The West Wing. Arguing back and forth over everything from policy issues to Christmas presents, Josh and Donna made for some of the most memorable scenes in one of the best TV shows ever.
