A mother of the groom has sparked a huge debate online over her outfit choice. Some people think it looks like a bridal gown, while others think it's just a lovely dress. The dress in question was shared on a popular forum, Mumsnet, after an eagle-eyed shopper spotted a comment left by the mother of the groom under the dress which read:

"Bought this for my son's wedding in Long Island this summer. The dress is a perfect fit, and perfect length with high heels. The dress is stunning and so comfortable to wear. Friends have all said it is a beautiful dress. Very pleased with the purchase and quick delivery by John Lewis."

She shared a link to the dress saying, "Just been looking at this dress, and I know this is mean but read the review and someone bought it for her son's wedding." It has started a huge debate over whether or not it's an appropriate outfit for the mother of the groom to wear. Here are some of the comments disagreeing with the choice:
