Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning this evening which will remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning (November 1st).

The weather warning has come as a result of heavy fog in a number of areas.

The warning is in place for Munster, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Roscommon.

“Fog in many parts of the country overnight and on Sunday morning, with dense pockets and hazardous driving conditions, especially in the midlands, east and south,” a statement on their website reads.

Meanwhile, later tomorrow is expected to be dry with some sunny spells developing. Top temperatures are expected to reach 13 to 16 degrees, but the national forecaster has warned that it may be cooler in some areas where fog lingers.

The warning was issued at 9pm this evening as fog began to settle across the country adding an extra eerie feeling to Halloween night.

Be careful out there ladies and gents.
