Message In A Bottle – Check Out The Note That Washed Ashore in Dublin This Week

Storm tourists have been out there in force over the past few days, collecting images and video footage of Mother Nature at work, but a simple walk during the quiet hours led Clare McGowan to a great storm find.  Clare's husband Mark writes; "We found a message in a bottle along the promenade in Clontarf on Friday the 3rd Jan after the flooding. Please publish to let the person who wrote it know where it ended up after three years." Your wish is our command. It seems the original letter was written almost three years ago to the day, and it contains the New Years Resolutions of a couple by the names of Isobel and Karl. Karl's plans for 2011 included: 1. Work harder, get an outstanding 'grade'! 2. Build a bridge  (possibly related to Brian - we're not so sure) 3. Play a regular sport, football or UFC 4. Eat healthier, learn to cook more 5. Be nicer to strangers Isobel was more ambitions, with a whopping 12 resolutions: 1. Work harder, get career on track 2. Recycle 3. Take more photos 4. Get fit, eat healthier 5. Do/see more of London 6. Pick charity 7. Make more London pals 8. Remember family birthdays 9. Call Dublin more 10. S.G. 11. Save 12.
