Men Are Better Shoppers Than Women?  We Don’t Buy It!

This is definitely one survey that is bending the truth

Her

They call themselves efficient, we just call them lazy but a recent survey is claiming that men are better Christmas shoppers than women with 30 percent of men completing ALL of their Christmas shopping in one fell swoop!

Christmas shopping is stressful – finding the time to hit the shops as well as the pub is admittedly a difficult task to master and the report found that as men were found to have spent less time trawling the shops they were seen to act more decisively.

The research commissioned by Bluewater, also found that guys were happier to ask for advice from a shop assistant rather than go back and forth between shops and were quicker to make a decision on a purchase.

So baring all this in mind, what does it mean for the people receiving the gifts?

Men might be faster, more decisive and spontaneous with their purchases but this can also mean over-spending in a panic as a sales assistant on commission looms, urging your other half to shell-out on something you neither want or need. Plus buying in a hurry usually means that anything chosen will lack any thought, effort or originality!

So, if that makes men more efficient and better shoppers then they’re welcome to the title.

We know who’ll be happily wrapping their carefully considered presents in front of an open fire and who’ll be wandering around Brown Thomas, credit card in sweaty clenched fist come Christmas eve…
