The next time you plan on doing a kind deed, you better pause for a second and think – otherwise you could end up like this poor guy.
The Huffington Post reports that kind-hearted Nathan Kent was left stuck up a huge pine tree after he tried to save a little kitten who was stranded. We’re not sure what’s cuter – the kitten or Nathan for being so lovely!
Apparently the little cat, known as Tom, lives at the residential home where Nathan works as a maintenance man. The cat had been missing for four days until Nathan heard his desperate meows for help coming from the tree.
Without thinking, Nathan grabbed a ladder and climbed into the tree. Unfortunately, once he rescued Tom he then realised he was stuck himself. Poor Tom was so upset that every time Nathan tried to move, he scratched him.
Eventually, the fire brigade was called to rescue the man (and the cat!) from the tree in Cornwall.

“I climbed and climbed, but to get down with the kitten in one arm was not safe at all. Tom was distressed and made it more difficult by clawing at branches and my arms as I tried to clamber down,” said Nathan, speaking after his ordeal.
“The poor thing was starving and shaking. It was scared and was clawing the hell out of anything. I was covered in scratches the next day,” he added.
Local firemen lowered the kitten down from the tree in a bag while Nathan was assisted down by ladder.
“Nathan showed a great deal of courage climbing high into the tree to rescue Tom with little regard for his own safety. But whilst we recognise it can be very distressing to see a pet trapped or in danger we urge people not to endanger themselves attempting a rescue…” said fire man Andy Reynolds.
We’re happy that both Nathan and Tom managed to get down from the tree in one piece!
