Are you currently in a relationship where you love your other half but lately things just feel a little bit flat? Are you fighting more? Do you feel like your other half just isn’t giving you the same love and/or attention that you used to get?

In this day and age it can be so easy to just cut your losses, move on and search for someone else, but we have to pose the question: are you really trying to reignite the flame?

There’s a common misconception that it takes one person to end a relationship. In reality it takes two. It takes one person to sound the death toll and another to try and save things.

If you really do love your other half and want to try and reignite the flames of passion, here are a few things you can try…

Start going on dates again: So many couples fall into routines which eventually develop into boring ruts. We’re all guilty of getting stuck in a relationship routine at various points in our life. We come home from work, eat dinner, sit on the sofa watching tv and then go to bed.

Try to remember what things were like at the start of your relationship. Chances are you were constantly out doing things together, making memories and having new experiences. So recapture these feelings of excitement by having a date night once a week. Go out for a romantic dinner, go to a concert, try taking a class together.

If things are currently bad in your relationship but there’s still hope to fix it, you and your man need to remember why you wanted to be with each other in the first place. Make the effort to get to know each other again. Your relationship will thank you for it.

Sometimes you need to remember what brought you together in the first place

Romance is everything: Try to reinject a little romance into your life. Send your man a flirty text or an email in the middle of the day for no reason. Tell him that you miss him. Give him a random compliment.

When we get comfortable with someone, we somtimes forget to let our flirty side out to play. According to top relationship experts, you need to keep up the flirty banter that you had at the beginning. This will keep things fun, fresh and interesting.

Be unexpected with your romantic gestures and chances are you could find them returned to you via your man, tenfold. Romance makes for a happy relationship.

Go away for the weekend: Some weekend, clear your schedule and get away from it all. Go somewhere you’ve never been before. Do something that you’ve never done before. Sometimes all we need is to get away so we can forget about the pressing issues in our relationship and just have fun together.

If you love your other half and you really don’t want to end things, give these simple tips a try before you jump ship. Remember, relationships can be hard and this could be a small obstacle that the two of you need to work through together so you can build a stronger, deeper connection with each other.
