Thank god everyone is okay.

We are all aware of the importance of driving safe, the statistics speak for themselves when it comes to accidents on our roads, and sadly this is not exclusive to any one country and affects all types of people.

One celebrity who is passionate about the message of road safety is Maisie Williams.

The Game of Thrones actress posted a very blatant message, with this horrific image of an flipped car.

From Maisie’s caption, it seems that her friend was in the car when this accident occurred.

She shared the photo to help spread awareness and asked people to be careful on the roads.

She captioned the photo:

”I am so unbelievably thankful that my friend was lucky enough to walk away from this unharmed. “I’d be dead if I was speeding, or if I wasn’t wearing my seatbelt”

“Chilling words to hear but they’re so brutally honest. I know so many people who are guilty of not wearing seat belts, and driving too fast (including myself).

“It’s a harsh reality we all have to face, we are not invincible, accidents will happen, and we won’t always be as lucky as this.

“Please, please keep yourself safe, don’t put your passengers, or any other drivers on the road, in danger.”

In Ireland in 2015, 156 people died on our roads, a large percentage of whom were not wearing their seatbelts. ”There was a high incident of ‘no seatbelt’ as a factor in fatal collisions (29%) in known cases.” RSA reports.
