Love, Larsson and the Late Late : The Best of Tonight’s TV

There’s plenty to keep you entertained on the telly tonight. Here’s the best of tonight’s TV:

Saving Private Ryan – More4 (9.00pm)

Oscar-winning war drama starring Tom Hanks, Tom Sizemore, Edward Burns, Matt Damon, Barry Pepper and Vin Diesel. American soldiers scour the French battlefields after the Normandy landings in search of a missing soldier. Directed by Steven Spielberg.

The 40-Year-Old Virigin – ITV2 (9.00pm)

Comedy starring the Steve Carrell, Catherine Keener and Paul Rudd. A shop worker reveals that he has never had a sexual relationship with a woman and his mates try and set him up with the ladies.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – TG4 (9.05pm)

Mystery thriller based on the popular Stieg Larsson novel, starring Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace. A journalist and a hacker are hired by a family whose niece has been missing for 40 years, convinced that she was murdered the journalist begins a investigative trail like no other.

The Late Late Show – RTÉ One (9.35pm)

The Late Late Show has an interesting line-up in store. Angela Hayes, who lost both her husband Tommy and son Thomas to suicide, will appear on tonight’s show with her son Alan to tell her story. Another guest on tonight’s show is Kian Egan, the former Westlife star was recently crowned king of the jungle after his stint on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Saw – Channel 4 (11.25pm)

Horror classic starring Leigh Whannell, Cary Elwes, Danny Glover and Dina Meyer. Detectives search for a killer who kidnaps and forces them into “games” with real life-or-death consequences.
