Lots of Stars, Lovely Dishes and Liar Liar: The Best of Tonight’s TV

It’s the end of another week which means it’s about time you sat back, put your feet up and enjoyed what the small screen has to offer...

Considering that this time next week you’ll be worrying about who you’ve forgotten to buy for and what you’ve left to get, enjoy the down time (and these great shows) while you have it!

Nigel Slater’s 12 Tastes of Christmas – BBC One (7.30pm)

In the first of this two-part programme the famous food writer gets into the spirit of things and whips up a number of festive dishes. He also jets off to Norway in search of a very special Christmas tree.

Modern Family – Sky1 (9.00pm)

This week Manny and Luke’s baseball team make it into a playoff game while Gloria tries to bond with her unborn child through singing.

Liar Liar – RTÉ Two (9.00pm)

Jim Carrey stars in this comedy about a lawyer who relies on his dishonesty to win him cases but all that changes when his son makes a birthday wish which renders him incapable of telling lies. The only problem is he has a high-profile divorce settlement to win.

Alan Carr: Chatty Man – Channel 4 (10.20pm)

Television presenter Davina McCall, comedian Jon Richardson and singer Rebecca Ferguson join Alan on the show this evening.

The Graham Norton Show – BBC One (10.35pm)

Tonight Graham will be chatting to Martin Freeman about the hotly-anticipated The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey as well as Dawn French and Lee Mack. Girls Aloud will also make an appearance.
