Looking For Rented Accommodation? It Just Got Even Tougher

The September scramble for accomodation is never a pleasurable task.  Between deposits, references, viewings and LOTS of competition, the job couldn't get much tougher. Well - it just has. Gardai have this week issued a warning to third-level students on the hunt for accomodation to be aware of rental scams which are apparently becoming more and more common. A Facebook post outlines the dangers of rental scams and also some tips to avoid being caught. Speaking to 98fm, a representative for Daft.ie warned that grammatical errors in property listings are a red flag, as well as properties that look well but are below market price. If it looks too good to be true - it probably is. *Sigh*.
