“Life Is Short. Have An Affair” – Here Are The Married Women Who Cheat On Their Husbands

With Ashley Madison's 'affair guarantee package', cheating has never been easier.

Ashley Madison, the website that helps husbands and wives conduct extramarital affairs, with a 100% guarantee of like-minded people, infidelity and married dating has never been so easy.

The website prides itself on it’s ability to “find an affair and cheating partners”, claiming that thousands of married people flock to the site daily looking for discreet encounters.

The website is also known for it’s extremely offensive advertising.

Teddy Wayne, a writer for GQ magazine, decided he would find these, “lady Don Draper,” as he refers to them in the piece, and get to know what it is that makes them unfaithful to their husbands.

Teddy meets several females, and in a bid to discover if it is just a case of the sad lonely housewives syndrome with affectionless hubbies at home, he quickly realises that the majority of the ladies he meets are powerful, go-getters, who can be described as ‘Alpha Females’.

The women in Wayne’s article had their names changed for privacy reasons but all were seemingly very honest about their adulterous behaviour.

Megan describes herself as a “dirty old man trapped in a woman’s body”, and someone who is on the heavier side of 200lbs, with a sex drive that has always been extremely high.

I lust after younger men the way dirty old men lust after younger girls. I get dirty old men. I’m looking for eye candy. I’m very shallow.”

Megan explains that she has always been disloyal in every relationship since she having sex at 16, with a “don’t ask, don’t tell permission to frolic with other lovers”, from her husbands of almost twenty years, with who she has several children and that shes brackets as a “nerd”.

“He can barely handle me, and he’s super-vanilla,” Megan says. “But he’s also a fantastic guy and father. We have a really happy and functional house.”

Megan who states she is “well over 200lbs”, wasn’t put off by the website’s vulgar advertising.

Teddy points out the Megan is far from a bored housewife, revealing that she has previously worked for one of the most political figures in the US and almost ended up in Obama’s administration.

Sarah married young and find her husband’s lack of enthusiasm to be sexually adventurous, “suffocating”.

“I earn more. I repair everything. I fixed up the house.”

A pattern is beginning to emerge between each story, each woman is the dominant character in the relationship, the one in control.

Laura uses the website to seek out rich, older, dominant men. She is another ‘alpha female’, although she doesn’t wish to be labelled that.

“In the workplace, it should be equal… but in the house, the only way it works is if there’s a strong masculine and feminine component,” she explains.

“You need to give your husband a blow job every day. He should feel like a king. Seeking it out in my sexual life is to make up for it in my real life. I want my husband to be dominant and more successful. I don’t want to be the man in the relationship.”

Teddy concludes that his initial theory of the ‘lonely housewife’ is incorrect, and the want to cheat issue had more to do with the inadequate power balance in each marriage.

“Other than Megan, the only one who is open with her husband, the women I have met are all, by their own admission, either deeply unhappy or deeply dishonest with their spouses. Monogamy may defy certain biological imperatives and may not make as much sense for modern eighty-year life spans, but that’s the contract you sign up for; if it isn’t for you, then opt out or marry someone new.”
