Sometimes, we forget we live in a really beautiful country ( the rain has a lot to do with why) but after watching this footage of the Wild Atlantic Way, we’re reminded of why Ireland is a very popular tourist destination.
Kinnagoe Bay is one of those gorgeous untouched spots that comes complete with stunning scenery.
Situated on the Donegal peninsula of Inishowen, the view from the road above the bay is just breath-taking.
However, if you’re visiting this spot, take care as there is a very steep drop to the beach below.
There’s also historical significance associated with Kinnagoe Bay. In 1588, the wreckage of a merchant ship named ‘La Trinidad Valencera’ washed up on the bay and to commemorate this, a plaque was mounted.
An example of natural beauty, this secluded beach is the perfect example of Ireland’s hidden treasure.
If you happen to be heading this way on a road-trip, make sure to stop off.
Alternatively, there are guesthouses and holiday cottages nearby if you’re interested in a holiday break.
