Katie Taylor Will NOT Feature In The Boxing Showdown At Thomond Park

The news was confirmed today.  Katie Taylor will not be added to the card at Thomond Park in September a statement this afternoon has revealed. Last week, it was announced that the Olympic gold medallist had been added to the card for Andy Lee’s showdown with Billy Joe Saunders on September 19^th. However, this is no longer going ahead. “We believe we did everything we could to make this event happen but unfortunately on this occasion, the outcome was not to be,” said Adam Booth earlier today. "It is with great regret that Katie Taylor will not be taking part on the Andy Lee Undercard at Thomond Park on September 19th. We would like to wish Andy all the best,” Devlin Sports commented on behalf of Katie Taylor.
