Today at 4.45pm, Ireland will come to an absolute standstill as Katie Taylor steps into the ring and fights for the Olympic Gold medal.
It’s deadly, isn’t it? Sure you just know that the streets will be deserted, not a tap of work will be done and all the Her.ie girls will be crowded around the nearest television screaming “Bate the head off her Katie!!! G’waaan!!!” and generally screaming our support for the girl with the golden gloves.
Needless to say, there’s an excited atmosphere in the office today. After yesterday’s amazing performance, we all can’t wait to watch Katie do her thing and hopefully bring home the Gold for Ireland.
