Have you ever had a crush on one of your man’s friends? If so, you’re not alone as a new survey has revealed that most of us tend to hold a flame for one (or more) of our man’s besties.
The research, which was commissioned by online dating site DateWithaMate.com, found that 24 per cent of us have a serious crush on one of our man’s friends. Not surprising right? What we found a little shocking was the fact that 66 per cent of the women questioned admitted that they actually found their man’s friend to be way more attractive than their partner! (Eh surely this means that you should be courting his friend and not himself if you feel this way, no?)
Anyway, 62 per cent of ladies with a crush said that they would try to avoid the friend they had a crush on as much as possible, to stop the temptation of cheating on their partner from rising. Whereas 31 per cent had the exact opposite feeling and said they would try to spend more time with their man’s hot friend.
Worryingly, 9 per cent of the women admitted that they were guilty of breaking up with their boyfriend just so they could have a sneaky date with his friend!
Some women admitted to fancying their man’s friends more than they fancied him!
“I was quite shocked to find out how many women fancy their partner’s mates! I think there are going to be a few suspicious gentlemen out there now. When you’re spending more and more time with people, such as someone’s group of friends, it’s inevitable that you will start to build friendships with them,” said Luke Pomaro, the founder of DateWithaMate.com.
“However, it’s important not to let it develop any further as you risk causing a lot of trouble and heartbreak, not only between your partner and yourself, but also their group of friends. Imagine how you would feel if it was the other way round. The best idea initially is probably to start spending less time with the friend in question and then go from there!” he added.
