Yesterday morning, October 7th, Gillian Lomax, a tour guide for A Magical History Tour discovered that John Lennon’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame had been defaced.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, those who were responsible for the vandalism scrawled notes on to the star with graffiti which included “I love you” and “Blackbird... Rain was here.”
However, one of the workers for the Hollywood Walk of Fame was quickly alerted and a clean up operation was in full swing.

"Morons did it," Lomax told The Hollywood Reporter. "Rather tacky. There was a group of them, judging from the different coloured pens. I tried to rub it out, but to no avail."
Even worse for the vandals, the Capitol is now checking if there is a video of the crime as the star falls under registered state landmarks.
Lennon, who died on December 8th 1980, would have turned 73 on October 9th. The star has been cleaned and is ready for new visitors.
