Here are some fun facts about people born in January

January Birthday

While it isn’t exactly the most desirable birth month, January-born people are pretty cool!

Having a birthday in January isn’t the best time of year for celebrating.

Between the financial drain of Christmas, the return to work, and the dreary weather, people are less likely to want to head out and party with you.

If you’re a Capricorn or Aquarius, you’ll be all too aware of these facts.

Any time I think of a person celebrating their birth during this month, I am reminded of this meme:

However, studies and research show that people born in the first month of the year come with a host of fascinating and desirable traits.

January-born males are more likely to be left-handed

One study conducted by the University of Vienna found that men born in November, December, and January have a higher chance of being left-handed.

Considering that only around 10% of people worldwide are believed to be left-handed, it’s pretty cool.

They’re more likely to be doctors or accountants

You may not want to swerve the birthday celebrations of your January-born loved ones as you may very well rely on their skills one day.

According to Life DailY, the two most common career paths for people born in this month are general practitioners and accountants.

On the flip side, people born in January are less likely to become real estate agents, compared to people born in other months.

January-born people are creative problem-solvers

Stuck on a problem at work or in school? Find the nearest January-born person.

A 2015 study revealed that people born in January and February happened to show increased levels of creativity and imaginative problem-solving, according to Time.

As someone who has a sister born in January, I wholeheartedly agree with this finding.

January people are less likely to get mood swings

Despite (or because of) being born at the coldest and quietest time of the year, studies have found that January folk are less irritable people and are less prone to mood swings that people born at other times of year.

Maybe don’t test this theory.

They’re destined for stardom

After years of lonely birthdays, they may end up with the fanciest celebrations of us all, that is if they don’t end up as doctors or accountants.

However, it’s the Aquarius sign of this month that is more likely to have their name in lights, according to a study in the Journal of Social Sciences.

When you think of fellow Aquarius like Harry Styles, Alicia Keyes, and Cristiano Ronaldo, this theory holds up.

You may want to invest your time in the pals you have under this star sign now!

January-born men are more likely to marry October-born women

Perhaps the gift you can give your January male friends when you bow out of the celebrations is the gift of playing cupid and connecting them with an October-born lady.

According to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Cycle Research, males born in the second half of January are 2.3 times more likely to marry women born in late October.

Looks like Aquarius and Scorpios are an instant match!
