Actor Ian Llyod Anderson has thanked the team behind hit RTÉ drama Love/Hate after his character met a grisly end on last night.
The penultimate episode of Season Five saw Fran’s ingenious, albeit bloody, escape from prison.
Fran, played by Peter Cooney, made straight for a reunion with Llyod Anderson’s Dean, his former best friend who was forced to switch sides when Nidge threatened his life.
Fran, aware of the deceit, extracted his revenge in typical gruesome fashion, sparking many puns about Deano “gone to the dogs”.
Lloyd Anderson took to Twitter last night to share his thanks to the crew and fans of the show.
Staying in a hotel and RTE Player not working. Absolutely gutted I can’t watch #Love/Hate. Keep me updated!

At least I don’t have to keep it a secret anymore! RIP Deano! He might have killed me but I’m still #temfran
