It’s Official: Lucy Spraggan Makes a Quick Exit From The X-Factor

The singer has said she's withdrawing from the competition because she doesn't think it's fair that she was given a free pass to the next round while she was sick

Well ladies, it’s official: Lucy Spraggan’s X-Factor dream is over. Yes, Lucy pulled out of the reality TV talent show yesterday after she missed two live shows due to illness.

The 21-year-old singer withdrew from the competition yesterday morning and stated that she felt it would be unfair on the other contestants if she was allowed to continue given the fact that she missed two live shows and was given two free passes through to the subsequent rounds.

“Lucy isn’t well enough to perform this weekend so she has decided to withdraw from the competition. We are all sorry to see her go and wish her all the best for the future. She has been a fantastic contestant,” said X-Factor organisers in a statement.

Lucy released a statement yesterday saying that she was leaving the show

“I am gutted not to be able to continue on this journey but I’m not well enough to perform. To accept another free pass, having missed last weekend, would not be fair on the others in the competition. I wish them all well,” said Lucy, speaking yesterday.

“I would like to express my thanks to everyone who has supported me. There is no way that this setback will prevent me from fulfilling my ambition. You’ll be hearing from me again very soon,” she added.

So what do you think ladies? Are you sad to see Lucy leave the show?
