What would you think if you saw a woman in a wedding dress crying on the DART or the bus? Chances are you’d assume that the poor lady had been jilted at the altar or at something had gone seriously wrong for her on her big day.
The last thing that you’d expect her to be crying about would be a football match, right? Well a picture of an upset bride on the Tube has gone viral after it surfaced online a few days ago.
Ladies, meet Hannah Booth – the bride that loves her football team more than she loves anything else (except maybe her new hubby):
Hannah was pictured crying on the Tube in London
Thousands of people saw this picture of Hannah, sitting on a train on London’s District Line in her white dress. She has her head in her hands and appears to be inconsolable over something.
Why was she so upset? Well apparently, football-mad Hannah had gone to the match between Chelsea and Liverpool straight after she tied the knot with her hubby. The Chelsea-fan was left sorely disappointed when her team drew with Liverpool on her big day.
Hannah and her hubby Christian (also a devote Chelsea football fan) were handed a pair of coveted tickets to the match at the registry office wedding that morning, on the condition that they didn’t get changed out of their wedding clothes before the Premier League clash.
“It was a brilliant day, but unfortunately I’d just had a bit too much champagne,” said Hannah, speaking to the Metro about her infamous picture.
“Going to Stamford Bridge was perfect. We couldn’t afford a honeymoon so this was the next best thing,” she added.
