For the past number of days, Chennai in eastern India has been a complete and total wash out due to heavy rainfall. The city streets are chronically flooded.
Schools and colleges in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts remain closed. Many educational institutions in Chennai have remained closed for over ten days after the floods.
And look, we know how it is. We’ve had our fair share of rainfall and completely understand the absolute inconvenience of desperate weather.
The city appears to be on complete lockdown but after ten days, it becomes inevitable that you’d have to trek out for supplies. One woman however, was gifted with a novel way to avoid the inches of rainfall.
A video uploaded to YouTube and captioned The Best Husband Ever shows a woman being escorted through the floods by a very caring gentleman who alternates to plastic chairs to create stepping-stones. The YouTube user, Koushal Ram, does not clarify the relationship between the pair. If he is her husband he must be one of the finest ever and if not, well, he’s a pretty decent bloke in our eyes.
