An Irish woman has written to Robbie Williams asking him if he would play at her wedding next year.
Aileen Connolly, who is due to walk down the aisle next summer, on August 16th, decided to see if the pop star was free and would like to join in with the celebrations in Dublin.
“I’m getting married and I just thought if you weren’t up to anything and fancied a nice night out with a sing-song you could play at my wedding in Dublin?? [sic].”
She then put forth a strong, and we reckon very persuasive, argument to convince the singer to come along.
Aileen bought Robbie’s single and album after seeing him on the television.
After saying that she had immediately downloaded his new single Candy on iTunes after seeing him on The Late Late Show and rushing out to buy his album Take The Crown, Aileen explained that she has always been a huge fan.
“I am a true fan ever since seeing you back in 98 in Slane castle (at the tender age of 14)… I also have every album and have always defended them all (even your not so popular ones) [sic].”
She added that Robbie’s family could come as well: “Also there would be plenty of entertainment for Teddy! I’ve a few nieces & nephews who are around the same age so she definitely wouldn’t be bored! [sic].”
She is hoping that Robbie will agree to sing at her wedding next summer.
Aileen continued: “So anyway I know you’ll probably be touring next year but if you are near Dublin on the 16th August, fancy a stress free weekend in a county house in Dublin with your beautiful wife Ayda, daughter Teddy you’d be more than welcome to join the party [sic].”
In the hope of sealing the deal, she also offered to give up her own room for the former Take That star: “To put the final push on a swing it in my favour I’ll throw in a free Steak meal and even give you the honeymoon suite????? [sic].”
While Robbie may not have responded just yet, the letter which was posted on Facebook has received over 2,000 likes and 150 comments all showing their support and urging the cheeky chart-topper to accept the invitation.
Fingers crossed Robbie will agree to entertain Aileen on her special day. Athough, then we’d have to write a letter trying to convince her to invite us too!
