Irish man’s dedication to getting into the pub is extremely admirable

It's no secret that we Irish people love a drink.

While there are plenty of damaging stereotypes of Irish people that claim that all we do is drink and eat potatoes, drinking is naturally a big part of Irish society. Whether it's celebrating at home or out drowning your sorrows when things don't go your way, we all need to let off some steam and go for a drink or two to share troubles and let go. One man who was trying to do just that was Ruaírí Brannigan, but unfortunately the dress code of the local pub held him back. Heading to An Sibín in Perth, Australia, Ruaírí was wearing the wrong type of shoes to be allowed admittance. But like any quick-thinking Irishman in need of a refreshing beer, Ruaírí got his thinking cap on and got new shoes... All just to be let into the bar. An Sibín shared a snap of Ruaírí wearing a pair of women's pumps and told of the hilarious background to the photo, writing

"When you realllllyy wanna get into the pub but you have thongs on.... so you buy the only shoes left in the shop.. haha things people do for the sunday sesh".
