Irish Emigrants, You Shall Never Crave The Snackbox Again… Fast Food Chain Supermacs Moves Down Under

"Sure is there even any reason to come back to the Emerald Isle now at all?"

It’s the place where most nights out on the town end up… and the place where most of the night’s banter is had.

The post-night out fun in Supermacs is something us Irish love to claim as our own tradition, something you won’t experience anywhere else in the world, something those who’ve upped and emigrated should miss and crave when they return.

Ahh, a big bag of chips to end the night on a high…

But that’s where we’re wrong, news has just emerged that the Irish fast food chain Supermacs is hoping to monopolise on the thousands of Irish emigrants living in Australia.

Yup, Irish emigrants Down Under will never have to crave a snack box at four in the morning anymore, Supermacs is making the long journey from Ireland to Australia.

It’s hoped the first restaurant will open there within the next year, Newstalk reported this morning.

The company already has over 100 restaurants across Ireland and the firm’s CEO Pat McDonagh says he plans to open four more here in 2013.

Last year Supermacs was also named as one of the ‘must-try’ fast food outlets around the world by Fox News.

The eatery was favoured by the channel because of their wide selection of French fries and the fact that the company claims to have pioneered curry chips and the snack box craze in Ireland.

Watch out Aussies, you’re in for a treat!
