Ireland continue their Six Nations campaign tonight [Friday] as they take on France in Ashbourne this evening.

France are currently top of the Women’s RBS 6 Nations table and Tom Tierney’s girls in green will be hoping to challenge them for the win this evening.

The game comes off the back of Ireland’s win over Italy (30-5) away last Friday evening and will be streamed live here from 7.30pm.

Some changes have been made to the squad from last week’s win with Katie Fitzhenry brought up from the bench, while a late change announced this afternoon has seen Hannah Tyrrell withdraw from the squad due to injury.

Munster’s Aoife Doyle will come into the squad in her stead to earn her first cap.

“It was great to get the result last week and there were some good things we can take out of the Italy clash,” said Tierney speaking ahead of the game.

“This week sees another step up for the players in terms of opposition,” he continued.

“Playing at home is a great plus for us and hopefully we will have a big Ashbourne crowd to make it a good atmosphere to help give those home supporters a good performance and a win.”

Match tickets are priced at €10 for adults and €5 for OAPs, students and children and are available on the gate.
