Ireland’s dirtiest curse word has been revealed

The Irish tend to be a little potty-mouthed.

Whether we're feeling happiness, sadness or the spectrum of emotions in between, an expletive seems to be a choice way for many of us to express ourselves. Fictional character Father Jack on Channel 4 has his entire character based on swearing and cursing on Father Ted which hundreds of fans grew to know and love. Our brothers at JOE.ie have done the trojan work of finding out which is the dirtiest word according to Irish people, by means of a poll. When asked which was the dirtiest word, a whopping 88.6% of people voted that 'c*nt' was the most offensive word. A total of 3,255 people out of an overall 3,674 picked the 'c' word over all the other rude words on offer, including 'fuck' 'motherfucker' and 'bollocks'. This comes as startling news to our little island as earlier this year, the most hated word in the WORLD was named as 'moist'. *shiver*
