Hit travel guide book Lonely Planet has named Ireland as “one of the top countries to visit.”

Ireland has come in in the guide’s top five in the world to visit thanks to “stunning landscape and incredible hospitality.” The Emerald Isle came in fifth place after Singapore, Namibia, Lithuania and Nicaragua.

According to Lonely Planet, Ireland is “the real deal” and “the Irish themselves are inevitably at the heart of the best the country has to offer.”

“Ireland is small, but it packs a big punch,” the 2015 Top Destination guide reads. “The cosmopolitan, contemporary Irish are just as friendly and welcoming as their forebears were known to be.”

Meanwhile, the Wild Atlantic Way has also been described as one of the best scenic drives in the world.
