Alberto Guzman has hit back at Instagram after a photo was removed of kissing his husband, makeup artist Janeiro. The pair had tied the knot on Sunday in honour of gay pride.

Guzman posted the incredibly sweet image along with some hashtags: “#happy #gaypride #equalrights #repostedmyweddingpicture #whenwesaidyes #tilldeathdousapart #wearethesame #nothingwrongwithbeingqueer #werequeerandwerehere.”

However, the photo was removed by Instagram who flagged it as “inappropriate.”

The photo was restored by Instagram who apologised for taking it down. “When our team processes reports from other members of the Instagram community, we occasionally make a mistake,” an Instagram spokesperson told The Huffington Post. “In this case, we wrongly removed content and rectified the error as soon as we were notified. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Guzman later re-posted the photo with a new caption: “I posted this photo of my wedding yesterday and Instagram took it off my album for being “inappropriate” and on gay pride day of all days…”
