Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to bookmark posts of their choice, including both photos and videos.

The ‘saved’ posts are included in a private tab so only you can see them which is an added bonus of the recently added tool.

Instagram’s founder, Kevin Systrom, explained the idea behind this feature in a lengthy post shared on his personal account.

Here’s what you’ll be able to use the bookmark feature for:

“Today you can start saving the posts you love and want to remember.

“Whether you want to come back to a recipe, save a place you want to visit on your next vacation, or remember a friend’s bike route, you can save posts right from feed”.

It’s simple to use too, with Kevin instructing IG users to:

“Just tap the new bookmark icon under a post to save it to a new, private tab on your profile only you can see. Happy saving!”.

Can you see this one catching on?!
