The world awoke to sad news about an entertainment legend this morning, James Gandolfini had passed away in Italy, following a heart attack. He was only 51.
Thousands of fans worldwide took to social networking sites to pay tribute to the legend, who created one of TV’s most memorable characters in Tony Soprano.
One of the most touching tributes, though, came from the guys at Holsten’s Ice Cream shop.
The New Jersey eatery was the setting for the famous final scene of the hit series, and local fans of The Sopranos flocked there today in memory of the star.
None will sit in his booth though, for today a ‘reserved’ sign will on the tabletop all day, for the most famous patron who ever crossed the doorway.
