IN PICS: Gardener Spends 10 Years Cultivating THIS Hedge

This took some determination.

A 75-year-old gardener John Brooker has spent the past ten years sculpting a giant hedge that stands in the grounds of Frizzleton Farm, UK.

The 100-foot-long dragon complete with large wings, fierce teeth and six sets of legs took saw Brooker spending hours trimming the large hedge. The determination for the perfect dragon saw our constant gardener climb up a pair of 6-foot-high ladders to keep it in shape.

Speaking about why he decided to shape his hedge with the unusual design, the pensioner said:

“I was standing at my kitchen sink one day and thought the hedge was boring so decided to do something with it. The shape just suggested itself. It was just a completely-straight privet hedge to start with.

Then I thought I’d carve some arches in the other end, then a head and it just came from there.”

Now that’s taking up a hobby.
