11-year-old Nada Al-Ahdal is a young girl from Yemen who was told that she was being married off by her family.
In this powerful YouTube clip, the brave young girl shares the heartwrenching story about her decision to flee her home so that she wouldn’t have to marry.
“What have the children done wrong?” she asks, “Why do you marry them off like that?”
She talks about the innocence of childhood being torn away from children and questions her family's compassion. "I'm done with you. You've ruined my dreams!" she exclaims.
We really hope that Nada is safe and sound and wish her the best of luck in the future. She is an inspiration.
