Sue’s Choice: A Life in a Line

Sue says: My favourite story from this week was the video of homeless people that was filmed in Orlando. A director put together an amazing piece which asked homeless people to write down a fact about themselves on a piece of cardboard. Their answers were heartbreaking and honest. The project is asking people to rethink homelessness and they certainly get that point across.

Cathy’s Choice: Festival Fever

Cathy says: I had a ball at Longitude Festival last weekend but not as much fun as this lady judging by the below video. She is busting some very impressive moves to the sound of dance tune ‘Pump up the Jam’ and all I can say is fair play to her! She is having the absolute craic…

Rebecca’s Choice: Face It, We’re all Ducked

Rebecca says: This has to be my favourite story of the week simply because it’s hilarious and I laughed for about five hours after hearing about it. Michelle’s Choice: Garda Garth – Take a Bow for Brooks

Michelle says: The boys and girls in blue deserve serious credit for this. When it comes to making the most of a situation though, you don’t have to look any further than An Garda Síochána.

Liz’ Choice: Pop and Lock Like Your Pop

Liz says: We see a lot of dance routines in the office, but few include a daddy-daughter dance duo, and to a serious pop tune?! That’s just spoiling us. I’m loving that the dad seems to fill with pride when he falls into step behind his little girl, who can REALLY throw some shapes.

Favourite bit? The dance break where the girl body pops. Amazing.

Grace’s Choice: Remembering Amy

Grace says: July 23rd marked the third anniversary of the death of vocal phenomenon Amy Winehouse.
I remember the exact moment when I found out Winehouse had passed away and I cried like she was a member of my own family, addiction had finally taken its final hold of her and the world lost a musical genius.
In her short life she accomplished so much and in memory of her achievements I decided to take a look back at some of her most standout live performances. Arguably the greatest voice of our generation… Ladies and gentlemen, Amy Winehouse at her at her finest.
