“I Jumped Down To Get It” Girl Gets Stuck In Drain After She Tries To Recover iPhone With Her Feet

Sometimes dedication to your phone really does outweigh all other concerns... Ella-Anne Birchenough, a 16-year-old girl from Dover in Kent found herself in a bit of trouble yesterday after her phone fell down a drain. According to the Daily Mail, the girl dropped her iphone down the drain and decided to go in after it, legs first. However, when she got in there she found herself more than a little stuck. Ella-Anne's mother, Joanne, dashed to the scene and called the emergency services to remove her daughter from the drain. Three firefighters arrived at the scene and removed the girl from the drain. Ella commented: 'I was talking to somebody and I went to put my phone in my pocket and it fell down the drain. I thought to myself 'I'm not leaving this' and I jumped down to get it." "I wasn't really even stuck, I just need somebody to help lift me out but my mum got all panicky. When they pulled me out I ran straight home and jumped in the bath. I think it was just water but I wasn't taking any chances." The firefighters later reported that a towel and a red pair of wellies were found beside the scene. Images via the Daily Mail.
