TV series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is under threat to be cancelled after reports have surfaced that Mama June has started dating a sex offender recently released from prison.
Mama June, who broke up with her husband Sugar Bear earlier this year, has now started dating former boyfriend Mark McDaniel – who has recently been released from prison after serving a 10 year prison sentence for the aggravated sexual molestation of a then 8-year-old relative of Mama June’s.
Following last season’s finale, the TLC network have told media the “are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.”
UPDATE (7.55am, October 24th): Mama June’s daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon has denied the reports about her mother dating sex offender Mark McDaniel.
She told Radar Online: “The story is not true. My mom left Mark 10 years ago. They haven’t seen nor talked in 10 years.”
