The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is rolling toward its 2014 debut, the ride cars are designed to give the guests a total immersive experience in the movie so they could relive what the dwarfs did in the movie itself.
The imaginers (our favorite job title) combed the movie, looked up the ride cars continually to come up with the most detailed drawing they could get with all the little bolt heads, the lanterns, the way the wood is carved, the way the grain is shaped.
When completed, riders will be taken on an indoor-and-outdoor trip, with side-to-side swaying cars. Disney officials say its intensity will be between that of sister Magic Kingdom coasters Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Disney’s New Fantasyland has been opened in stages beginning in 2012 with the addition of the dueling Dumbo rides and Storybook Circus section followed by themed sections for ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ’Beauty and the Beast’ and last fall’s opening of the Princess Fairytale Hall in what used to be Snow White’s Scary Adventures, which closed in May 2013.
