Meeting your hero is a pretty spectacular thing, so the excitement written all over this little boy’s face will hit you right in the feelings.
Last weekend Rhode Island played host to their annual Pride celebrations, and amongst a sea of colour and fun, one image stood out from the rest.
Young Jeffrey was attending the celebrations with his mother Starlie Becote, when he met JuJubee, a drag queen known for her appearance on hit TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race.
JuJubee later shared the picture on her Facebook page and it quickly went viral, attracting over 18,000 ‘likes’ since Sunday. Commenting on the post, Starlie said:
That’s my baby Jeffrey. Thank you all for making his day brighter yesterday. He’s never met anyone else like himself and has been bullied for years. I am so proud of him for meeting such a cruel world with the biggest smile everyday. And juju he says he’s never washing that skirt and shirt because you held him in it. you have no idea what a difference you have made in his life!! Luv ya
