Crop don't zoom If you're trying to take a photo of an object in the distance don't zoom in on it. Instead simply take your photo and then crop it to the size you would like. By doing this your photos are much clearer and have loads more detail. Focus on the negatives Negative space is so important when you are taking photos. When you include lots of empty space your subject stands out so much more. Try to include a little bit of sky, water or even a large wall in your pics to make them pop.
Drop the filters Filters are fine every now and then but it is better to edit your photos using the tools on Instagram or using an external app. Play around with things like brightness, sharpness, colour and saturation until you are happy with the effect.
