Aside from the mythical names mentioned above, ‘inspirational’ names are also expected to catch on, owing in part to Dream, the baby girl born to Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.
You could be hearing a lot more of Zen, Justice, Mercy and True…welcome to 2017 people.
Heroine names for little girls are also on the rise and Pamela predicts that Emmeline (Pankhurst), Rosa (Parks), Zelda (Fitzgerald) and Simone (de Beauvoir) could make a comeback.
For boys, animal names are likely to become bigger, and Puma, Python, and Jaguar could join the already established Fox, Tiger, Hawk and Falcon.
Another trend which can work for both genders is water names so Marina, Ford and Aqua and monikers that have meanings related to water such as Kai and Mira.
