If there’s one thing Team Her.ie really enjoys, it’s the chance to hit the tiles, let down our hair and sip some cocktails in great company. We suspect you may be the same?!
So, we’re letting you in on out newest nightlife secret. Sahara Bar & Venue on Westmoreland Street is the latest arrival to the Dublin party scene, and we’re hooked.
Open every Friday night to cater to the after work crowd and ease away the stresses of the week that was, and Saturday’s from 11pm until late for those in the mood to party it up at the weekend.
It’s live music on Fridays while you reward yourself for a job well done, followed by the dance floor choices of 98fm’s Steve Cooper until the wee hours. On Saturdays its DJs Ronan Devitt and Al Redmond spinning the latest in chart and commercial floorfillers.
Sahara is the closest you’ll get to a Moroccan holiday at home, and we’re big fans of the deep hues, vibrant fabrics and glitzy finishing touches, including glitter toilet seats for when you visit the ladies room in groups for a chat…
Bottle service means you’ll feel like a VIP, but it’s an altogether different drinks delivery that we’re most enamoured by! House cocktails are served in teapots. Consider us sold.
The Moroccan Mint Ice Tea and Moroccan Sunset comes a giant teapot for 6 people, and frankly, we pity the fool that doesn’t try these bad boys!
You can take a trip down memory lane with some of the choices on the cocktail menu too, think Frosties, Loop the Loop, Black Jacks and Chocolate Mice – the grown-up versions! Better again, they get served with the sweets the cocktails are inspired by… which, quite frankly, delights us. Of course if there isn’t a cocktail on the menu that suits you (mad, but it happens) then the lovely mixologist will be happy to mix you up your own special bespoke creation. If you really impress them maybe you’ll end up with one names after you… we’re angling for a Her.ie cocktail now, can you tell?
Our friend Carol Bryne will be the lovely face welcoming you when you visit. Carol previously worked in Renards during the peak of its success, and ran The Pink for over a year, where Team Her.ie had our launch party all those months ago!
Check Sahara out on Twitter (@saharadublin) and Facebook (facebook.com/saharadublin ) to take advantage of the weekly giveaways, and look out for promo staff around temple bar. For reservations or if you would like guest list, contact hostess Carol Byrne on 086 4666 69 69 or [email protected].
We’ll see you there! (But leave the Mr. T teapot for us… please?!)
