Oh my word, imagine planning a massive shindig of a wedding only for the groom to call it off a few days before hand.
Imagine the horror of then realising that the 35 THOUSAND DOLLARS you’ve paid out is actually non-refundable. You’d be raging.
Well when this happened to one would-be-bride in Sacramento she turned her heartbreak into activism and did something insanely inspiring.
Quinn and Landon, both 27, were set to have a lavish $35,000 ceremony at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, U.S.A.
But when Landon (fool) called off the wedding with only a few days to go, Quinn and her family generously invited the city’s homeless to enjoy the event.
The feast, originally intended for 120 people, included salmon, steak and a range of accompaniments.
Quinn was understandably devastated and chose not to come, but her parents watched as new guests arrived and enjoyed the gourmet feed.
“I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for her, but I will take away something good from this,” Quinn’s mother told reporters.
Rashad Abdullah, who came with his wife Erika Craycraft and five children, said the meal was a blessing. “When you’re going through a hard time and a struggle, for you to do something different with your family, it was really a blessing.”
His wife Erika also thanked Quinn and her family for their kindness.
