“Goodbye Mama…” – Mother Reveals Last Texts From Son Before Tornado Hit

Jeffrey Hunter was one of the victims of the tornado that hit Arkansas last month.

A mother has revealed the last texts she received from her son before a tornado hit the house in which he was hiding.

Jeffrey Hunter locked himself in the bathroom of his father and stepmother’s home, in Arkansas, when he found out that a tornado was headed in his direction.

While in the bathroom he kept in touch with his mother Regina Wood, who was 20 miles away, about what was happening.

Ms Wood told Fox 24 that her son first told her he was scared before saying that the tornado was headed straight for him. The last message she received from him said: “Goodbye Mama, love you”.

Minutes later the tornado hit. Jeffrey’s body was found by one of his neighbours. His father and stepmother were also severely injured but survived.

Speaking about her son’s decision to say goodbye to her, Ms Wood explained: “That was the most precious thing a son could do for a mother”.
