Fox President Kevin Reilly confirmed that Cory Monteith’s exit from the show will directly deal with the issue of drug abuse.
According to Digital Spy, it has not yet been confirmed if Finn will die as a result of drug abuse.
Kevin Reilly, Fox President, addressed the issue today of the third episode of the new series which will write Finn out of the show: "That episode will deal with the incidents directly involved with Cory's passing, [including] drug use.”

Reilly also revealed that the episode will feature drug-related public service announcements from cast members and that proceeds from the programme’s music will go toward starting a fund in Monteith’s name.
The Fox boss also described Lea Michele as a “pillar of strength” and an “extraordinary human being.”
Michele tweeted today from the set of Glee, confirming that she was happy to be back to work.

The new series of the show will air in the US in September of this year, the opening episode will be a two-part Beatles episode followed by Monteith’s departure.
