Lena Dunham is fast becoming one of our favourite people in the world. Not only did she tell Rihanna what’s what this week but she also revealed that there will be a third series of Girls.
The creator and star of the show, which picked up two Golden Globes recently, is set to return and could be longer than usual.
Girls has been a huge hit and it looks as if it’s not going to end any time soon.
Lena told Alec Baldwin during his podcast that she wants to extend the series from 10 to 12 episodes.
She said: “We’re starting season three at the end of March. I’m so excited… I think that a little more would be just a little more storytelling real estate, and it would be amazing.”

“But you know, so I shoot four-and-a-half months out of the year, then I’m editing, then I’m doing press, then I’m writing, then I’m back,” the 26-year-old added about her busy schedule.
While HBO is yet to confirm a third series, the network apparently started to put the wheels in motion for it back in November. Series two is currently being shown on Sky Atlantic.
