We know this woman well from our days at school and, although her poetry tested whatever positive emotions we had left in us leading up the Leaving Certificate, her words were loaded with wisdom.
Sylvia Plath once said, “Kiss me, and you will see how important I am.”
Kissing seems like human instinct, one of the things we do without thinking twice. What’s the big deal about two pairs of lips locking together? However, some kisses can be relationship-ending turnoffs.
There is nothing worse than a bad kisser, we’ve all been there.
So stomach-churning you feel like you could never enjoy a lip encounter again…
We’re going over the basic steps of kissing. A kiss that will make the lucky recipient desire you and leave wanting more, as opposed to leaving wishing they’d never kissed you before.
Nothing beats a good kiss…
We have six expert tips to ensure you get your smooch on…
Minty fresh…
Make sure your breath is fresh, minty or sweet. Few things are as noxious as a mouth that tastes of garlic, pizza or crisps. Don’t be afraid to say it if your man is stinking either.
So kissable…
Keep your lips moisturised and in tip-top condition with something as simple as Vaseline. The bitter winter cold can play havoc with your lips so make sure you keep them soft and supple.
Play it subtle…
Part your lips slightly. No one wants their face drenched in your saliva. Do not open your mouth so wide your partner could take swimming lessons in your throat. If you find that’s what he wants to do, subtly press his lips together with your fingers. He’ll get the message.
It’s not a tongue battle..
Tongues generally meet when kissing. However, do not grab his tongue for dear life. Do not try to give him a tonsillectomy.
Play around…
Plant your kisses all over his mouth, the corners, his top lip and bottom. Then draw back a little before allowing the kiss to proceed.
Relax..
Do not get so uptight. You should not be stressing out wondering how the kiss will be, if he’s enjoying himself, if he likes you or if you two will meet up again. Just relax and have fun…
