“Get Me A Gurney!” Eleven Things We Learned From ER

Before Grey's Anatomy ever hit our TV screens, we had the brilliant drama that was ER. Full of love affairs and hard-hitting moments, ER was one of the most popular series to hit the small screen. Here are eleven things we learned from it. 1. George Clooney is amazing. We knew before he event TOUCHED a film screen that he was amazing. Let's face it, everyone who ever watched ER was in love with him and his dreaminess. 2. Never suspect you know what is going on in someone's life. Parting can be such sweet sorrow. People should never leave shows. Ok, fine. George Clooney should never leave a show. He should be cloned in fact. 4. Be with the one you love. That moment when Carol realised that she was meant to be with Doug was beautiful, as what that song. Why would she not be with Doug? It's George bloody Clooney! You're already working about seven million hours! Just stop! 6. Working in an ER can be just as dangerous for a doctor as it is for a patient. Terrorists, prisoners... this ER had it all. 7. Don't wait around. If you wait around to tell someone the important things, they may no longer be around. 8. Things have a marvellous way of working themselves out. It all looks like it's dark, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. 9. People can still look amazing despite the fact that they work around the clock. Constantly. How did Carol constantly look this good? HOW? 10. They had the best script in town. That moment when Alan Alda who played Dr. Lawrence revealed his Alzeimher's disease to Dr. Weaver was particularly awful. She said she would visit him in his home, he replied "But I'll never know." Heartbreaking. 11. You can't win them all. We lost quite a few main characters in the show but the main message was, you need to pick yourself up and move on.
