A Galway pub is putting on a Valentine’s Day promotion with a twist next month; they're offering a free drink for punters hoping to get over their ex-boyfriends and girlfriends on Hallmark Day the most romantic day of the year. Punters who buy a drink in McGettigan’s pub in Galway on Valentine’s Day will get a second tipple free if they provide a photo of their ex-partner to bar staff, who will subsequently rip it up and throw it in the bin. For some, the idea of handing a stranger a photo of their ex-girlfriend or boyfriend to immediately tear into pieces might be a little weird. With no details about requirement of proof that the person in the photo is in fact your ex, however, we’re sure plenty will be seeking to exploit the promotion for the sake of a free pint.
