GALLERY: Some Of Our Favourite Pictures From Monday’s Dublin Marathon

Another fantastic event.  Despite the gloomy weather, thousands turned out on the streets of Dublin on Bank Holiday Monday to support more than 15,000 athletes as they took on the challenge of the 36^th Dublin Marathon. Kicking off at 9am, the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon was won by Alemu Gemechu of Ethiopia who completed the course in a time of 2:14:01.

Nataliya Lehonkova of the Ukraine was the first woman to cross the finish line in a time of 2:30:00 , while Pauline Curely and Sean Hehir were crowned national champions on the day.
